The Stock market is struggling, many have lost thousands in their retirement savings and 401k accounts, alot of people are investing in gold and silver to stabilize some of their losses. Specifically, gold coins are the desirable way to build or re-build wealth. Gold coins can be bought at a discount and in smaller sizes than just in 1oz. coins. One-tenth ounce, and one-quarter ounce coins are sold to get the collector started in gold without breaking the budget.
Once you do get into gold coin investing and collecting you need a place to keep the coins safe and free of the elements. There are many types of holders and tubes available to protect them. I found a coin holder for a one-quarter ounce Eagle gold coin for less than the retail price. $5.00 to protect a $200-$400 coin.
This VPX Capital coin holder is for the US 1/4 oz. Gold Eagle. The VPX holder is 3" x 3" three piece molded acrylic snap tight case. The coin holder is made of three panels of plexiglas: a colored (white) center panel which contains the tapered coin opening and the gold print of the type of coin (with no date) and two clear panels for the front and back of the holder to protect the coin for examination from either side.
